I tried this time book distribution in my college and going to hostels and giving books set worth rupees 1000/-
Previously i was thinking its a very difficult to ask for such a big amount and from those people who are not willing to pay even 50 rupees. But I tried by Counsellor HG Murli Krshna Prji is always giving me encouragement and by mercy of SP I could able to do Books worth rupees 25000/- . So I am not capable of doing anything but Krishna make me a instrument and I could put some efforts and that’s way distribution goes on.

I was a SKP devotee for many years back in the mid ’70s to ’80s in New Dvaraka. The Sankirtana mood was intense back then. I remember when Vaishesika, Pragosh and Tripurari Maharaja would come through to enliven the book distribution there. Those were the days! I remember one time Vaishesika had a cast on his arm because he broke his fore-arm during an arm-wrestling match. Most of my book distribution was done out on TSKP all over the country with Mahatma leading the charge. Some of my dear Godbrothers were Bhuddara, Puspadanta, Satyasena, Mahanta, Mahatseva, Gaura Bhagavan, Balaram, Bhagavat-krpa and Mahaprabhu. Eventually I was “promoted” to LAX where I was trained-up by the greatest book distributors that ever walked this plant…Guruttama, Bopadev, Gopa-gopisvara and even Gopavrndapal gave me some help which was very rare. At one point I was even going to be in a book distribution movie being made by Tamal-Krsna Gosvami. We did some filming but for some reason they decided not to proceed with the project. That’s too-bad because I distributed many books on film and got some very nice donations too. Oh well.

On the weekend of June 25-26, the Toronto Monthly Sankirtan team members trekked to Kitchener, Ontario which is about an hour’s drive west of Toronto. On the weekend of June 25-26, the Toronto Monthly Sankirtan team members trekked to Kitchener, Ontario which is about an hour’s drive west of Toronto. We arrived at this quaint town, located the site named Victoria Park and eventually found our tent which was beside a slow-moving, tree-lined, meandering river that was full of fish. We were the last booth, so we had ample space for the book table and kirtan.

The festival was rather large for a small town with lots of karmi bbq’s, clothing vendors, trinket vendors, an old-fashioned, gas-powered, john deere ice cream maker, a native pow-wow circle and oodles of various religious tents and multicultural tents, as well as ours. As soon as I got there I eagerly jumped at the service of distributing books. The first lady I talked to I discovered she was interested in Kurma’s cookbooks. I showed her the books and told her a little bit about Kurma and that he was from Australia. She indicated that she was from Australia and she then took two large books of his. I was very surprised and grateful for this transendental sale. The people at the festival were very easy to talk to and were very receptive to the books. We were very fortunate to have a large number of devotees attend as each and all of us were were very, very busy keeping up with the flow of people who were inquisitive about Krishna Consciousness. Madhumangala dd and Aditi dd set up a little side table with a “Spanish Books” sign. They had no problem attracting the Spanish people to their table and they even sold out the little books. A few hours into the day and we sold out a lot of books which necessitated for two devotees to drive all the way back to the temple and bring back a shipment of books to refill the book stands. I lost track of how many books I sold. It was soo blissful talking to the people about Srila Prabhupada’s wonderful books, distributing temple cards, Rathayatra invitations and prasad. We had a very sweet kirtan going in the background and Gopi dot painting by the book table which had a steady stream of kids attending. While the parents were waiting it was a good opportunity to present the books too. I was talking to an older man in a wheelchair and he bought the “Chant and Be Happy” book. He was very interested and I taught him the Maha Mantra. I believe he will be chanting more in the future too. I sold a Bhagavad Gita in Spanish to a woman named Gloria and she was soo happy and grateful to get it that she was so close to tears. My heart melted with transendental joy too!! We had two local teenage girls who went straight to the book table and were taking books and examining them. I sold them the little “Who Am I” book. They got gopi dots painted and they were not just satisfied with the gopi dots, they wanted tilak too just like us. They always came back and were asking myself and Sita Thakurani a lot of questions about Krishna Consciousness. They also went out on kirtan with us around the grounds. We gave them Ekadasi prasad and they liked it. I believe in the future that they will take up Krishna Consciousness too.

What is really beautiful about presenting books is that we are connecting and distributing the love that devotees have and opening ourselves to invite more and more people to experience our Krishna Consciousness love and welcome them to our wonderful family that Srila Prabhupada began. Overall, it was hugely successful and I pray that Lord Caitanya will give us more opportunities to serve him in the outlying towns as they are starving for the Holy Name and transcendental knowledge.

I have been looking for that book.” I told her, “Wonderful, this one is yours.” She said “but I don’t have any money on me.” “That is fine, this is for you.” She then began to explain that her husband is from South India and that she had converted him to vegetarianism and that from him she became interested in the Bhagavad Gita.

Later on in the day she tracked me down and handed me a donation for the book.

We tried to share the gas expenses for such rides with devotees who helped us but never accepted the Laxmi  in return. We handing over small book pack to nurses, doctors ,other staff ,even
some of the people But when we hand over a Bhagavad Gith to the coffee shop owner,She was so amaze that some body is doing this job, and give free food for my kids, she offer me an organic tea. we sit a talk .she ask me about my guru and yoga, before we leave ,she ask me to write an autograph!.

My kids were happy, so rest of the day we went different places
among them 4 motels; 2 of them have already Bhagavad Gith in there
rooms.we heard good things about our Dileep Bhai.

Book distribution in India is a different experience. I pull my
car in the evenings the markets other gathering places,before you
know people comes to you . it is so good to talk about Gith and other
Vedic books in mother tong . People are generally welcoming the
spiritually books in India

2) We met many Indians who were happy to see & welcomed us. They seemed to be lonely at home & were surprised to see their doors been knocked by Transcendental Book distributors

3) One devotee met a African person who was looking for job as truck driver though been jobless he gave 1$ donation we told him that Krishna was also a chariot driver he was happy to hear that & had somehow heard about Arjuna the great warrior
