How to distribute a book:

A few simple steps:

• Learn how to meet and qualify people.
• As you hand the book over, use a mantra that describes the benefit of reading it.
• Use “show and tell” to present the book.
• Ask for donation.
• Teach Mahamantra.
• Give prasadam.
• Collect contact information
• Practice Practice Practice!

How to get BBT books:

You can get BBT books by contacting your local ISKCON temple or BBT. You can also
order BBT books from our website. Whether you live within or outside the United States, we are ready to assist you in getting BBT books.

For US orders you can select BBT titles from the list and place an order which will be shipped to your location. Click here for US orders

For International orders, submit your request and we will contact you shortly with the information on how to obtain these books from the nearest BBT center.

Tools that you need:

1. BBT Books: Keep a variety of books in multiple languages.
2. Temple fliers, mantra cards: These let people know how to contact you after reading the book. Mantra cards are helpful for teaching the Maha Mantra.
3. Donation Box (for book distribution from a table) or a small bag: Safely keep all the Laxmi you collect.
4. Notepad (or pre-printed “contacts sheet”): Record the contact information of interested people you meet.
5. Book score sheet: Track the number of book you disitribute
6. Pen/Pencil
7. Drinking water: Stay hydrated; stay healthy and vibrant!
8. Prasadam: Distribute liberally to the public. (Cookies, lollipops are nice)
9. Bag Lunch: Make a bag lunch for yourself or for team members; keep your strength up; for fun, have a small picnic after book distribution.

Book distribution from a table:

1. Table: Us a foldup table to display your BBT books; available from Target or Walmart; easy to carry; a tablecloth makes it even nicer!
2. Book Rack: Attractively displays your BBT books.

3. Permission Documents: You may need permission from local authorities to set up a table or to distribute books at various locations like Walmarts, farmer’s markets, some streets corners, etc.
4. Chairs: Folding chairs are easy to transport and give a place for devotees to take a short break while on book distribution.
